REDOXO
Ok. So as I understand it City will get some compensation for Dheidhou playing. Does that increase for games and minutes?
Gazred
Happy to be corrected but i think it's a flat rate for being at the WC, day by day rate. Matches and mins don't matter.

Does that increase for games and minutes? I don’t think it does. $10,000 per day, I believe, split between his past (City) and present clubs, for every day he remains part of the squad. Ironically, whilst Fam might now get more game time due to Mané’s enforced absence, City may receive less should Sénégal not progress as far as they might have done had Mané been fit and played. Silvio Dante
It’s one of the smaller problems of giving the World Cup to Qatar, but the very scheduling is more likely to deprive it of its best players. Normal year, season ends and one month recovery until World Cup. Maybe take a chance on players not fully fit. This time - one week from club football ending to World Cup and if someone’s out for three weeks, they’re done. Lesser tournament for it.
