Nicky Hunt still working in football?

Never to the dark side

Like Sean Dyche, Adam El-Abd and countless others over the years, his move to us didn't work out, despite coming with rock solid credentials.

Two poor home games and it used to be that the boo-boys had decided they had defined a career.

Thankfully, times are changing, as seen with the development of Vyner. Amazing how quickly some people write a player off, yes, Hunt wasn't great but he was hardly supported and then became poor, got off to a poor start and fans of the time wouldn't give his any route back.

Not a home game for me, Leeds away when he was absolutely toilet and turned around after one of the Leeds goals, which was his fault, like he didn't give a shit!

Utter waste of money IMHO

So is it just coming to our club that turns players with decent credentials into poor players ? Or do we see this at other clubs ?

He didn't 'work' much when he was here, useless prat!

He could obviously plat professional-level football, but then - according to hearsay - developed some sort of mental issue that dropped him out of contention.

The person I blame, was whoever did "due diligence" at bringing him here.

Hunt was suffering from depression when he was at City and that obviously effected his performances. Anyone who’s suffered from the ‘black dog’ will know just incapacitating it can be.

As others have said Hunt came with an impressive CV but was too unwell to find his game. The boo boys certainly didn’t help him.
