I also predicted a 2-1 win before the game (yes, I do like to mention that at every possible opportunity). Unfortunately, I find the memory of the Man Utd game somewhat bittersweet these days. Yes, it was a great game, though it's slightly depressing that a cup game against a top 6 team is SO meaningful to us. Dare I suggest that our continued jubilation at such a game from half a decade ago is a little bit tinpot? Many other clubs of our size and smaller have gone on to compete against these teams regularly in the Premier League, while 5 years on we still celebrate "that time we caused an upset in the League Cup". 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
