Popular Post In the Net Posted January 27, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 27, 2023 I know this this was mentioned on the "Nick Anderton" thread, but, just in case anybody missed it .... City have very kindly invited some Rovers' fans to sell yellow ribbons at Ashton Gate this Saturday. I believe that they will be selling in the Fan Village and the concourses. It is cash only, a minimum of £1 is suggested, but every little helps. All money raised will go to Nick Anderton and his family - I think you all know how Nick's life was turned upside down, following a cancer diagnosis in July. This is a very big gesture by your club, and I hope that fans will support it, and remember to take a bit of cash in their pockets to purchase a ribbon. THANK YOU. 30 3 1 Quote

Yes but given that if he scores against us means that he would have beaten an aggressive Cancer then the result of a game of football wouldn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. A very good friend and workmate lost his wife to Cancer at age 49 just before Christmas and he was the guy who I watched 'that' ManU game with, so he and his family will be in my memory to my dying day. 2 Quote
