Everton routinely save their worst performance of the season for this fixture (no win at Anfield in front of a crowd since 1999), but that was crap even by their standards.

Dyche has got his work cut out.

They are so short of strikers. Felt sorry for Simms but he looks miles away at this level.

Fair point but you do worry where the goals will come from to keep them up.

That Tom Davies header was pathetic at the end.

The players who you would expect to stand up to the fight are Coady and Tarkowski. But both were awful tonight.

I do fear for them

Liverpool are so much better when Henderson plays. It's not necessarily what he does on the ball but his presence alone seems to give them a lift. Having said that, apart from the Tarkowski header Everton have been poor. They have to push up further and give Simms support.

Henderson is a natural leader and a big miss when he’s unavailable for Liverpool or England.

Never really let England down tho. Similar to Harry Maguire at Man U.

Not really to that level no, and the comment was really meant to highlight that piece of goalkeeping in isolation that was Sunday league standard rather than England number 1 standard.

But he has made errors for England, not to that level and not consistantly, but he has made some.

Its not really a dig at Pickford but the first France goal was poor goalkeeping and really should have been saved, can't remember anything else from the world Cup so wouldn't hang him out for it. Probably decent for England rather than world class in my view.

On the subject of the Liverpool and Everton game, Everton looked toothless up front and only vulnerable when they'd committed men forwards, with klopps comments after the game that it was the Liverpool of old but the deciding factor in that game was the 18 seconds of the op where until it hit the post it looked like Everton were going in front, and then probably going to spend the game defending for their lives. Very fine margins between that and another sub par Liverpool performance.

Everton though in two games under Dyche and only set pieces do they look dangerous, if they are going to stay up I think it's going to be because of some nil nils and one nils because its going to be difficult to score 2 or 3 goals each game from a corner.
