Rotherham groundsman…

Recommended Posts

I'd be fuming if it was us, but don't think it was going to be playable regardless.

After the way Cardiff has handled the Sala stuff then I think it's a lovely bit of karma, especially if they lose the replay and manage to get relegated.

Couldn't happen to a nicer club.

I think you’re right.  Some of the pooling of water just off the pitch was always gonna run back onto the touchline areas which would’ve been dangerous.

This is flat out cheating regardless of whether its Cardiff. The videos and pictures Ive seen are a disgrace if it was 1 0 rotherham they would have made a much better effort to clear it. Sprinklers were also on at half time apparently.

So upset for poor old Cardiff  ?  Hopefully they will get stuffed in the rearranged game!

To put a bit of context into this to help people realise why the game could not continue

This is my point, the game was never going to survive the weather regardless of that clip of the guy dragging some water back on.

Is it true they had the sprinklers on at half time though? That does seem bizarre

That was my point,it’s all well and good saying how it happens in other countries but many like the Spanish don’t take many away supporters

We don't take many away supporters in this country either.  The average is just pushed up by the million that da faymuss qwawtuuuurz take to every match.....

I have seen footage where one of the sprinklers were on, but not in the area of the flooding

After seeing that the groundsman probably thought what's the point in pushing it off the pitch then :laughcont:

That was my thoughts exactly

Paul Heffernan if my memory serves scored the goal in the called off game. Thought he would really take off with us, sadly not to be.

Mark Stallard. Loved scoring against City.

I was incorrect and you were correct on Heffernan. Stallard scored both goals in the replayed game where won 3-2.
