bubble games still exist in south wales, and they still can't behave themselves

Recommended Posts

Long version;

Swansea City is disappointed to have to highlight anti-social behaviour among a minority of the club’s supporters before Saturday’s south Wales derby at Cardiff City Stadium.

The staging of a fixture of this magnitude requires immense planning and operational resources from the two clubs, local coach companies, and South Wales Police.

Despite the club issuing clear guidance to supporters in advance of matchday, there were several incidents of disruption and anti-social behaviour, particularly on supporter coaches put on to provide travel for fans attending the game.

Unfortunately, staff on buses and drivers from various companies were subjected to verbal abuse which is unacceptable.

There was also damage caused to a coach, internally and externally, for which the club will now incur considerable repair costs.

These incidents are now being investigated, while there is also the risk that these instances will impact on the club’s ability to provide transport for supporters to attend future away games.

These events were the actions of a minority, and the club would like to place on record its sincere thanks and gratitude to the majority of supporters who behaved impeccably and provided fantastic support to Russell Martin and the players in what was a memorable victory.

                   **********************************************************************************

Question for the class.
Have we ever made Swansea or Cardiff games bubble game at the gate? Like our Playoff game there, marched from the carpark straight in to the ground & tickets checked getting on the coach.

In fairness didn't hear of much trouble. From what ive seen police managed it very well. Only allowing swans fans to go if they travel on coaches worked well, although you would of been a bit buggered if you lived closer to Carsh*t than swansea

Why was this a 3pm kick off when ours was 12.30?

SW police would of been planning it for a while, as long as fans didnt have the chance to meet with eachover, which the police managed and successfully executed there was no real reason for it

I think it's always been reciprocal hasn't it?

That's what I'm asking. I know the amount of tickets was restricted, but at a time we would have to get tickets at a Services or on the coach before we left , they seemed be be able to make their own way over.
I've never been there to see them lead from the coaches and I just wondered.

Perhaps they should be looking at how Lee Trundle was behaving at the ground

Passionate as a fan, but no way for a club ambassador to behave - they should get their own house in order before throwing stones at glass houses
