chinapig
Some consolation for the Gas beating us to the signing of James Wilson.* *If they haven't claimed this yet they surely will soon.

Respect what you heard but this was done on Monday always with the intention of announcing today. Maybe the Derby offer came in over the weekend, so he'd decided by Monday? It's not uncommon for there to be a delay between the signing taking place and announcement. Kalas, I recall, was a good 4+ day delay. Anyway, happy days - welcome to City Haydon!
BCFCGav
Welcome Haydon. Can’t go too far wrong on a young, free acquisition! Sounds like he’s impressed in L1 and will be a good understudy/competitor to Pringy ️

downendcity
The old maxim is that strikers win matches, but defences win titles/promotion. Looks like we are building a team capable of fighting for promotion then.

Davefevs
Phase one Now waiting on Kalas - unless Roberts is the “indirect” replacement. Then we see what happens. Really pleased we’ve addressed defence to a large extent.

RoystonFoote'snephew
After a minor diversion I'm pleased we got this one over the line. Looks a good addition, although the proof will come once he's playing in the Championship.

As you know the financials relatively well Dave, do you think we now move on to trading (selling players to raise funds for new ones) or do we still have the assets to move without having to sell? One Team
Our business this close season is superb, although TBF Pearson and Tinnion have been signposting the fact they knew what and who they wanted. 42 minutes ago, 1960maaan said: No roof , but the pitch looks better than WSM in peak season Pitch looking better than the Memorial Ground already! If you consider that Massengo seems virtually certain to move on, Kalas’ future seems to be 50/50 & Bajic & the club need to have a conversation about exactly what’s happening there, should all those 3 go then that’s probable, even before we get to Scott’s situation. Kalas offer will remain on the table That’s why I said “indirect”!! Two scenarios… Kalas stays , we’ve no need to look for a left-back - defensive recruitment probably complete Kalas leaves , we have signed a player who can play LB or CB, we can be flexible about which position we chase (that’s not to say that’s all scenarios though) Edited June 14, 2023 by Davefevs

There's an element of future planning as there is tentative interest in Pring and Vyner. I'd add a striker to your wishlist. Still think we're in for one. 1

Wells Cornick and Conway seems enough cover for a 1 up front formation, especially as Weimann can play there too.
