RoystonFoote'snephew
Should be a good game which I can view without any favour. A special mention though for Luca Modric, 37 years old and playing his 66th game of the season. Remarkable achievement and doubly so if he leads little Croatia to their first trophy. IAmNick
Croatia - only 3 million people (about the same as Wales), two euro quarter finals, a nations league final, a world cup final and two third place finishes in the last 30 years. They're ranked 7th in the world and are usually well in the top 10. How?! It's amazing really and I'd like them to win it. Northern Red
I find Spain are often tedious to watch and Croatia are little better. No surprise this is 0-0 and going to extra time.
Roger Red Hat
This is the best European final I've watched this year, better than any of the club finals.
RoystonFoote'snephew
Two midfields cancelling each other out. Perisic has been Croatia's best player going forward but also ensured they're still in it with his block on the line from Ansu Fati. Could go any way this. Mr Popodopolous
Croatia a talented technical side, their 2nd golden generation in 30 years or thereabouts. Aging in parts so not as expansive as they once were, as others say strong side indeed for a small nation. Their mid to late 1990s of Suker, Prosinecki etc was probably more exciting but this one probably better.
Super
Get in well done Spain.
RoystonFoote'snephew
Congratulations to Spain. Unlucky Croatia. Good penalties from the Spanish. Even Laporte's miss was close. Would have liked to see Modric pick up the trophy but it wasn't to be.
Kid in the Riot
Just got back. Plenty of tales to tell as usual. Great old ground is De Kuip. German and Dutch fans all want to hear about the mighty City. 1am back in central Rotterdam and Feyenoord have turned up and attacked Croats and us, little did they know, on their toes very quickly. Came running down with their shirts off and got chased haha Running theme of last few weeks of Dutch firms turning up and getting ran!
