Curr Avon
https://foreverbristolcity.podbean.com/e/plymouth-h-the-verdict-city-look-the-real-deal-in-ashton-gate-thriller/ There were goals a plenty at Ashton Gate as City convincingly beat west country rivals Argyle to secure their first home league win in emphatic style. Racing to a 2 goal lead inside the first 10 minutes the result was never in doubt once that margin had been restored to snuff out any hope of a Plymouth revival, City going in 3-1 ahead at half time. It was a great team performance savoured by DaveP, Ian, Mark & Neil in their analysis of the game and more.
Davefevs
FWIW, yes they made 7 changes, but…in fairness to Scarr, he has started 4 out of previous 6 and appeared in every game so far. Miller who played at Preston - that was his first start. Mote of a surprise was Waine over Hardie, Warrington over Houghton and T.Wright over Whittaker…so more genuine to say 3 changes. Mumba has been out of form (allegedly) and fans calling for him to be left out anyway. So, although definitely a weaker side, think the Plymouth fans a little disingenuous to intimate it was 7 weaker players in. But, tough shit…we didn’t moan about playing King and OTC and others last season. I guess the proof of SS’s decision making will be how they do against Norwich on Saturday. Norn Iron
Just spoken to a PA mate of mine who was at the PNE game last weekend. He thought it should've been a draw as PA played really well when attacking. When I mentioned the 7 changes, he wasn't at all surprised as the Saturday game showed up how bad they were at defending.
