I presume the stand on the far had been condemned?

No, it was the snowy, frozen slip hazard terraces. 'ealth and Safety. Also, Hull had no need for that side, they hadn't needed it for the 20 preceeding seasons, and they wouldn't need it for the following 10/12 seasons, not with average crowds of 4 - 6,000.

To think they would go on to spend 8 - 8! - seasons in Div 4 but still get to the top before us. Hull were absolute tinpot, dog sh*t back then.

Good side we had that season.

So when did radio commentarys start to change?

I think it started with second half commentary of the away Bristol side

Then full radio 90 minute commentary of the away Bristol team

Then home and away 90 minute commentaries

I have no time zone dates,if you have, can you post?

Would any one have audio recordings of any Bristol City games from way back?

Thanks

A lasting memory of that day is, walking into a Pub in the centre of Hull and there was just one drinker. An older lady with a headscarf and a Whippet . It was like a scene from Andy Capp.

? exactly  same thing happened  to us that game.  You didn't go up on mini bus from Eagle tavern ?
