Smith.....................Butler.................Coles..................Hill... Gillespie.................Orr....................Fortune.............Anyinsah... ..........................Miller.................Lita......................... Subs Tinnion Heffernan Goodfellow Woodman Roberts Messrs TD & SM can have a rest and we can play a simple system without a "player in the hole" or "protecting the back four" and, hopefully, the players will know what to do, as opposed to getting lost in a "tactics tangle!" Gillespie has played in midfield, so will support Smith when defending.He can get in on the back post, if we ever get a cross in and Anyinsah deserves another try with Miller in the side, to aim at. It's a strong back four with height and pace by League One standards, with two midfielders who can tackle and pass, with Tins on the bench if either tire. Goodfellow's there for pace late on, as our wide men tire. We need to win this to kick start our season and thefans patience is already wearing thin after last seasons debacle at Cardiff,That's not BT's fault but anything other than a win on Saturday will pile on the pressure. As per Saturday I maintain that Aninsyah is not ready to play and feel that Goodfellow will play there. Dont rule out Bell making it for Sat either. After Sat Miller is a near certainty to start. Why,when he's totally out of form and not doing it? What message does that send to the likes or Roberts or Goodfellow who can't get in the team? Coles is not a left back and will not play there. I don't think either had a great game on Saturday but would like to see one or both start Dont rule out Bell making it for Sat either. He hasn't played and, as far as I know, is still injured After Sat Miller is a near certainty to start. I would go with a Doherty Fortune centre pairing. -------------PHILLIPS-------------- SMITH-----COLES-----HILL-----WOODMAN MURRAY--DOHERTY--FORTUNE---GOODFELLOW ----------MILLER-----LITA----------- Roberts would be a def sub and probably comming on at some stage. GK-PHILLIPS DR-SMITH DL-HILL DC-COLES DC-BUTLER MR-MURRAY(ATTACKING LIKE THE OLD DAYS) ML-BELL(TO GET SOME QUALITY IN THE BOX) MC-DOHERTY MC-ORR CF-MILLER CF-LITA I'd probably see how bell was doing and maybe bring on goodfellow or anyinsah or maybe both for murray and bell.then swap 1 of the centre midfielders with fortune as he isnt scared to grind it out.Then have heffernan and gillespie on the bench.
