Firstly the cost of no income at rugby will have been much lower. Second, if we recall back to those days we were one of the more bullish and active clubs about reopening or the chances of society and by extension football welcoming fans back. So it figures on one level. There were due to be test events at AG, which were both off due to Covid and restrictions. One in late September, one on Boxing Day iirc.
