Adam Nagy back in Euros

Not that he was an enormous loss but I still think under different circs and better management he could have been more of a success here. (Others who came and went too, NP would get more than LJ or Holden).

A solid player, technically not too bad- goal and assist today v Montenegro. Ironically the shape of a genuine 4-3-3 that we use now, I could have seen him slotting in, but another debate.

Good player. He’s given a role to play in the Hungary team. He knows what it is, knows what’s expected of him, knows how that fits with others around him, and all that is pretty consistent from one match to the next.

We never gave him anything remotely like that.

I liked Adam. He never hid and always gave 100%. There were games when he carried the midfield on his own. As you say, we never used him to his strengths.

My opinion only, but I’m not sure we saw the hugely committed international performances he put in wearing a Magyar shirt as wearing a City one.  Thought at times he went a bit through the motions.  That first AG performance versus QPR after a decent debut at Brum promised much more.
