Never to the dark side
Just a heads up,and I would not want to put any one off not traveling anywhere by train but with the ongoing rail dispute, I have heard that traincrew will not be volunteering to work on Sunday 3rd December 2023
weepywall
I thought they had to give 2 weeks notice of a strike day.
Barrs Court Red
It was horrific yesterday. Trains cancelled here there and everywhere. Services massively delayed…and this was supposedly without strike action just how bad can it get!

GWR aren't on strike that day (they are later that week), but their ASLEF drivers are part of a nationwide refusal to work overtime that runs from the 1st to the 9th Dec which was announced a couple of weeks ago. Most of the train companies rely on overtime to be able to run their services, particularly at weekends, so it will cause a lot of disruption. 1

It's not a strike day, but there's no overtime being done Most Sundays are covered by this The services back from London a few weeks ago for work was a nightmare on one of these days

Tickets have now been removed from the system, apparently it’s possible to get from Waterloo to Bristol via Salisbury although that’ll be a little cosy

GWR have confirmed this now, so unreliable!
Olé
3 days notice. Even for strikes this is a first. Also GWR has run a reduced intercity service on every prior strike day, why suddenly not now. Something is very fishy here. Is it the GWR management Xmas party on Sunday? Sunday isn’t a strike day, it’s a withdrawal of not contractural overtime. I think the plan is just to run local services with such a small amount of drivers available.
