Jerseybean
Former Bristol City defender Steven Caulker has ended his search for a new club, by taking his first steps into management. Caulker - who was released by Wigan Athletic in the summer had been a free agent for the first part of the season, and has now made an interesting next transfer move. The 32-year-old has been appointed player-manager of Malaga City who play in the fifth tier of Spanish football. He announced he was taking up the role on Christmas Eve, and has now officially started at his new club.
Dr Balls Posted Wednesday at 20:38 Report Share Posted Wednesday at 20:38 Update story: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cq55r9e0qqro Apparently he wants to keep playing for Sierra Leone, so needs a team. No mention of City in the story and I don’t think he is someone that we should be interested in now, but surprised that he is still only 32. Hamdon Mart Posted Thursday at 05:47 Report Share Posted Thursday at 05:47 As a Yeovil fan, "Caulks" will go down in history as one of our star loan signings of our Football League era. He came to us as a 17-year-old and was pretty much ever present in his debut season in men's football and scooped every end of season award bar the Golden Boot in the 08/09 season. Exceptional player who you could see was going on to great things; sadly some issues took charge of him but these days, he is older and wiser and is trying to put back into football.
