hantsred
Heard a discussion on Talk sport earlier about the most profitable academies in the world (based on total sales 2014 to 2023) and thought it would be interesting if we feature after the recent sales of Scott and Semenyo and sure enough City are in the top 100 in the world. Yes I know ...only more money for the nest egg! ...but the discussion earlier on the radio was very much this is the only way forward with FFP. https://football-observatory.com/WeeklyPost446
downendcity
It's not just the profit on player sales though. We have regularly featured 4/5/6 of our academy players in the first team.
Mr Popodopolous
We are excellent at it. Necessity can be the mother of invention and 5-10 years we've been very good. We outshine some Category One Academy setups in some ways- ie a greater pathway, bigger sales and perhaps sales to a higher ranked sides at times.
