The turtle
Something curious about Spanish football. Often when teams go down; attendances actually go up. It's like a badge of honour. Malaga have been through a pretty depressing time recently. At the weekend, in the 3rd division no less. They played their main rivals B team (another story). This was the scene post game https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2nLPMiI129/?igsh=MTBkczEwZXAyYmJwcA== P.s i love their away kit. Back of the Dolman
I quite fancy doing one of these secret Matchday trips to a European game. I’ve seen a couple of companies doing them. Anybody on here ever done it ?
redsontour
I actually saw Malaga Vs Barcelona there in 2000. Four of us on a golf trip rocked up and got tickets on the day, the Barcelona team that day was insane, the De Boers’, Kluivert, Rivaldo, Figo and some midfielder named Guardiola.. 99% Malaga fans, 2-1 win for Barca that they didn’t deserve, but when Malaga scored the whole concrete stand we were in was moving…generally though, the atmosphere didn’t feel like a big City game, I think because Spanish fans don’t travel…mind you…Rivaldo…wow…
