Now I know partly I’m over reacting because of the result but who is the clown presenting BBC Radio Bristol these days? Switched on and thought rovers must have won and was talking to a gas head because of how laughy and jokey he was being. But no, turns out it was city fan and even after that the gas had lost too! Bring back twentyman!

Why is there a hospital DJ doing a sports programme? Had to turn it off, his lack of local/any knowledge and, at best, patronising manner made me very angry…what a ****, but not as big a tw** than the moron who gave him the job!

I believe it’s poor old Johnny Ray.

(Tries not to do Come On Eileen gag again)

You mean this one?

I was out in the club and they played The Twist, so I did the twist.  They played the Macarena, so I did the Macarena.  Then they played Come On Eileen, and that's when the trouble started and I got kicked out.

Jonny Ray is an experienced live presenter and voice over artist  description of his voice:
British, Authoritative, Rich, Warm, Friendly, Conversational,
Additional skills:
Experienced professional radio broadcaster at local, regional and national level. Presentation experience includes live and pre-recorded programmes, live general election coverage, news, current affairs, entertainment, sport, religion & faith. Can record VOs at home or on location.

i note from his CV that sport does feature , but what sport!—- he’s got a managing media MSC from Stirling University!!!!!

I Suspect he has shockingly poorly paid and inexperienced research assistant/social media reader feeding him the lines…..he sounded horribly unconvincing for an experienced presenter and voice over artist - unless he specialises in amateur and hyper register ham DJ characterisation……

Careful! He is a City supporter, so he’s probably got as much knowledge about the game as 90% who attend games!🫣😉

I thought JR was good. My background is in radio as a few on here know. His links were witty and engaging as well. I listened from 2pm until the final whistle. He knows the area and the banter after the Southampton game regarding Taylor Gardiner Haskins is what local radio is all about. A presenter from outside the area wouldn't have engaged with the caller who initially called him that and for Mark Tovey to embellish it.

Personally, I think we should be more down wiv the kids and call our ex Derby player Taylor Swift Gardiner Haskins.
