As an aside, does anyone know why 10cc were called 10cc…

I know what you're aluding to and it's an urban myth - both in terms of the band name (which is meaningless) and in terms of the "average amount" - which as a liquid would be measured in mililitres, not cubic centimetres.

Jonathan King christened the band 10cc after signing them to UK Records. He told the then nameless group that he'd had a dream about standing in front of the Hammersmith Odeon and the headline act in neon lights was 10cc.

They were originally 3/4 of Hotlegs, now unfortunately they are just 2.5 CC  !

Saw them at Knebworth in 1976 not a bad line up.

Knebworth Festival 21 August, 1976. This is where Allen Collins played perhaps his best Freebird guitar solo... | Lynyrd skynyrd, Allen collins, Rolling stones

Ah, Knebworth.  I was at the first one in 1974: Tim Buckley (Jeff’s father), the Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Van Morrison, the Mahavishnu Orchestra, The Doobie Brothers, the Allman Brothers.  Happy days.

If you guys listen to podcasts at all you would probably appreciate https://500songs.com/ - an absolue tour de force, though I should warn you he's only up to the late sixties at present, 1974 might be reached in a year or two :P

edit - Oh how wonderful - I have my very own forum stalker!

I just wish they could ALL get back for one last bash...............they certainly would be The Worst Band In The World !    :fingerscrossed:

I can dream .

That would be brilliant Slarti!

I could listen to I'm Mandy, Fly Me all day.

And Kevin Godley's vocal on Old Wild Men is another favourite. Its a pity he didn't sing lead on any of their singles from '72 to '76.
