Shauntaylor85
Sums up the issue. Who is the real manager? It’s 2004 all over again. Both must go, but Tinnion being in that role means whoever we appoint will not be the required level. If you really loved this club of 30 years as you say Brian please step down and the fans will again show our respect for your playing career.
P'head Red
He should never have been promoted from his role within the Academy, where he was doing well. He shouldn't be sitting at the big table. 9 1

The stench has set in, so he's got to go.

Buster Footman's T shirt
Because the club don't give a flying **** what we think. It is deliberately provocative. Does anyone think it was accidental?. Neither of them are going anywhere unfortunately 5

He’s the only one that they reckon could still be here after the summer. Anyone else with experience will likely be gone as will any player with any ambition!

Makes you wonder, if we had lost to Swansea and SL pulled the trigger on Manning. All the promo material and posters for ST renewals had been prepared and ready to go public a few days later. Rather embarrassing with Manning and Tinnion so prominent. Probably not connected but certainly would have come in to any imminent sacking decision.
TinMan's left peg
It’s a really weird choice whichever way you look at it. When a team is doing badly and you want to sell season tickets you put generic stuff on the poster (think young kids waving flags , Ashton gate looking nice in the sunset etc). To feature Tinnion and Manning so prominently is really odd. It’s either a wind up or a massive blind spot from those running the club (I’m assuming JL signed it off) that have no idea what the fans are thinking. 7
TinMan's left peg
for reference. Actually found it hard to find, seems to have dropped off the club website’s news feed.

Ashton Fete
Part of me wonders with our PR department that they’re so inept that they did this months ago and didn’t have the common sense or bothering to sense the mood and just tweak it to just have players/past greats. Like the team photo in Feb/March. It’s just embarrassing.

I can understand the manager to an extent.. but Tinnion? How many other clubs would put someone in his role on a season ticket graphic?

I get that he's a home grown talent - which is probably what they're trying to convey - but the other players they've chosen are cult heroes. Just an weird graphic. Like the team photo in Feb/March. It’s just embarrassing. It was a shame that the club lost Adam Baker in the media department - at the very least there should be a fan in there. Winning "social media club of the year" or whatever it is is seen a real KPI for the club - JL is creative director of "Fever Pitch" which is a Bristol Sport media agency. I believe this means that JL will ultimatlely have sign-off on bigger projects like this. Lots of very snazzy social media stuff, but I've always felt since Baker left the social media team often fail to read the room - and occasionally can be pretty rude to fans in doing so. In the same way the team's management/board misses having some experience and expertise - having a media agency without enough actual fans of the club is always going to cause issues.

He was a young coach who no one had heard of when he was brought in as manager, and a very vocal section of the fans were screaming for him to be sacked in his first season at the club. Luckily Harry Dolman resisted that temptation, held his nerve, and eventually it paid off, big time.

Loosey Boy
Our PR Department really do need to have a long, hard look at themselves for this advertising. Unless of course, they were told that it had to look like this by Tinnion

You can overlook it in the marketing department, but when you have the owners mate as technical director, his blundering son as chairman, uni graduates in the recruitment room, it’s a problem. I’ve always said the same about the Lansdowns, as far as football owners go they are just crap, naive, easily led and prefer to have a similar sort of people around them. But they aren’t evil maniacs. There are some really rotten bastards who take control of football clubs, we don’t have one of those at the helm here, but what we do have is an owner radiating a general malaise, tiredness and passivity which in an emotional game feels infuriating. 4
