Hope Oxford beat Bolton, an interesting addition to the Champ and very little chance of competing up the league

Same here, haven’t played them in ages, decent away day too. Also allows RobinsTV to bring out the term “the Liam Manning derby”!

Lino has had an absolute mare there right at the death.

How many times are they told not to put their flag up for a close offside and in one of the most important matches of the year he flags for a dodgy call.

Wtf has the CL got to do with Play off games and this thread. Tonight's important result for us was Oxford squeaking past Peterborough to meet Bolton in the L1 play-off final. The Us defended well and we're not adverse to using the dark arts to get the job done. I expect Bolton to win at Wembley but I guess most of us would prefer Oxford as none of us has seen City play at the Kassam in the league.

Could VAR not get involved ?

The officials were doing well till then .

Joselu back on the bench at the weekend then.

I can only assume they subbed Kane off for Choupo-Moting as he is good at defending his box a la Diedhiou.

Subs seemed to be the trigger.

We talk about SAF, Pep and Klopp. But you could make a very good case that Ancelotti may be the greatest manager of all time.

His name came up a short while back on here during a discussion about great players making great managers.

His managerial career has surpassed a distinguished playing career so no doubt for me he's one of the footballing greats of all time.

Strange to think his previous job was at Everton.

VAR cannot intervene once the ref has blown the whistle for offside. Perhaps he should have ignored the flag until the move was over but the assistant should never get another Champions League game.

Yes seen that .

Mind you people usually complain they don’t raise it quick enough!

As a manager he's won titles in Europe's top 5 leagues and won 4 Champions League finals out of 5. Nobody can compare.

German TV analysis said he was offside anyway so the linesman got it right even if he had raised his flag when the ball went in the net.

And the Madrid players did seem to stop so that might have influenced the goal being scored.

Yes i assumed so too was not sure though.

He wasn't in the wba squad last Saturday, or their previous game, and flashscore didn't list him as missing due to injury.

So tonight , one of the best runs this season saw Doncaster, take 10 wins and a draw from their last 11 games to seal a playoff spot. Scored 28 conceded 7 .
Now 2-0 up on Crewe with the home leg tonight, surely they must do it and probably play Crawley in the final (3-0 up on MK) .
One interesting thing, which could have been in ex players , Adelakun has found some form , a goal involvement every 96 minutes . Might give it a watch tonight.

Tommy Rowe got on as a second half sub in the first leg too.
