Offside
Can anyone shed light on this picture? I know that Mike Gibson was a very popular City keeper in the late 60s/early 70s (before my time but my dad always spoke very highly of him, and he was our postman for a while). But in this picture it looks like he’s wearing a City kit from the early 1980s (with the central badge). Was he in a testimonial game or something like that? I think he was goalkeeping coach at one point too?
slartibartfast
When I first saw him in mid 60's he always used to wear a faded/washed out green top for years, then went on to a dark blue one for a while (as long as it didn't clash, obviously) .

Yes that's how I remember him too. He always looked like he had just been through a car wash.
REDOXO
Good spot with the badge! who would have had a testimonial at City or the gas circa 76/77 Mike Himself maybe? @slartibartfastwas right about that green shirt. How many spins did that have? Edited May 18 by REDOXO
