cidercity1987
Good Not sure who is going to be our third CM though, we have so many good attacking players but massive gaps in CB, CM and LB
DolmanGaz
would guess he goes Rice, Mainoo and Gallagher?

hinsleburg
No Shaw or Chilwell, who on earth plays Left Back? Potentially Trent to shoehorn him in and means he can move into the midfield easier when in possession?
grifty
Would he go Trent at centre mid? With Walker at RB and Trippier able to cover both full back positions we can free Trent into centre mid with Rice and Bellingham just ahead. Foden, Kane, Saka as a top 3 but let Foden drift everywhere and do what he wants basically.

W-S-M Seagull
I'd leave Rashford at home tbh. But you just know that Southgate will start him ahead of Foden. Edited May 21 by W-S-M Seagull

TonyTonyTony
Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze, Marc Guehi, Dean Henderson and Adam Wharton will be named in Gareth Southgate's provisional England squad for Euro 2024. Chelsea centre-back Levi Colwill has also been included

Northern Red
If we excluded all of our defenders who are either mistake or injury prone, we'd be left with Kyle Walker at a push. 1

Give him a couple more years at least!

Based on their quite similar minutes played in the Prem this season, Scott actually outperforms Wharton in most of the metrics. I think the injuries hampered him and he lost his place and lost any exposure. But his stats rank him above Wharton. I like them both. In fact I like them both more than I like Mainoo so far.
Oh Louie louie
I wouldn't take rashford, seen him have more bad games then good this season, on that form no chance
Davefevs
Feel free to scroll on by, or if your eyes hurt. I like both players, Wharton at Blackburn, I saw as the closest ability wise to Scott last summer…whether Scott schooled him at Ewood Park or not in 22/23. But I do think there is some perception of Wharton (fine young player as he is) that is helped by the recent form / return of Eze, Olise and Matete in an exciting Palace team of late. Both should be aiming to be part of the next major tournament in 2026. +++++ We will see if Wharton gets in from the provisional squad.
