I understand why he did it (great opportunity and all that) but it did seem a bit of a big leap - from second division to the Premiership. So who do you want to take over Willsbridge? That leaves the door open for chairman Rupert Lowe to possibly appoint a technical director above Wigley, with Gerard Houllier having been heavily linked with the club.
