Reds Posted August 27, 2004 Report Share Posted August 27, 2004 I will be travelling to Port Vale 2mrw , but I cant leave until after 11.30 am.. ( due to wife at work ).. But my auto route says 128 miles and 2hrs 20 mins, although this seems enough time, does anyone with experience know how congested the roads are up that way?? And if there are any roads to avoid..?? cheshire_red Posted August 27, 2004 Report Share Posted August 27, 2004 Avoid the horrendous roadworks on the A50/500 at all costs. Do not exit the M6 at J15 as all routes will demand. Carry on to J16 and then come down the A500 (known locally as the D Road) and head for Burslem.
