Kick Them Out Of The League!

Slave to the rhythm

Bristol Rovers were today waiting to hear whether they will face action from the FA following incidents on and off the field during Tuesday night's clash with Yeovil. The Pirates had Dave Savage and Steve Elliott sent off during the 2-2 draw and have confirmed that three spectators were ejected from the ground and handed over to police - one for throwing a missile and two others for going on to the pitch.

The club say all three will be banned from the Memorial Stadium, but it remains to be seen whether the FA will now look to punish the club.

While referee Phil Crossley is understood not to have mentioned the incidents involving spectators in his match report, the FA had representatives of their own at the game and have been studying video footage of the match and the teams leaving the field at the interval.

The latest incidents come just over a fortnight after four disposable lighters were thrown at Oxford keeper Chris Tardif during his side's 2-0 defeat at the Memorial Stadium.

Ironically, Rovers have just been told they will face no further action over that - but the FA warned it would be taken into consideration if further reports were received.

Andy, just a thought....enjoy your long slide down your boyfriend's greasy pole. :P I was polite enough to reply along these lines earlier, but your censorious, puritannical moderators deleted the post.

Thanks for the banter and you're right, I should have seen the humour in your post.
