Navane
That whole situation was completely ridiculous!! :@ What an embarassment! The player at the center of this fiasco, who jumped up into the stands to hit the fan who threw a drink on him, didn't even punch the correct fan! I mean, if you're going to give a thumping, at least find the real culprit! Seriously though, the fans were wrong to throw things and the athletes were wrong to punch the lights out of anyone within arms reach. The worst part was that a TV camera man filmed footage of a little boy of about 6 years old looking terrified and crying while his 12 year old brother comforted him! THEN, an American football game between two universities (South Carolina and Clemson) had a major brawl the very next day. Both benches were cleared and it took a big group of state troopers to break up the mele. As a result, the coaches, managers and Chancellors from both universities agreed that both teams would withdraw from the running to attend one of the championship games. Volunteering to not play in a "bowl game" is a very big deal and shows that the universities will not stand for this kind of poor behaviour. .....Kelly
Guest taipan
Would you really expect anything less from Ron Artest...? That was out of order, but in my opinion the fans who came on the court fully deserved it. Just like when Nigel (Brian?) Clough punched that fan. Their place is in the stands.
