SimplyRed
I think the only conclusion one can draw from this is that he has a winning record for this club, far better than his previous clubs - and he took one of those to the Premiership! A bit of a poke in the eye for the knockers, perhaps?
Port Said Red
I have a problem with stats like these they look at one person in isolation, I have no idea how this record would stack up against other managers over the same period. Another point is that last seasons "stats" would show you that DW had a better season than Lennie Lawrence, especially in head to heads yet we all know the outcome. I am not necessarily anti DW, just anti statistics.
Red Sinjen
I think the only stat you can look at that has any relevance or credence is this one: DW Becomes BCFC manager. BCFC DIV 2 club 4 Years later DW still BCFC manger. BCFC still DIV 2 club Nuff said!!!!!!! Make your own conclusions
chalky
Bristol C (in detail - league only) Season- P- W- D- L- F- A- Pts- Pos 2000-01 - 46 18 14 14 70 56 68 9 2001-02 - 46 21 10 15 68 53 73 7 2002-03 - 46 24 11 11 79 48 83 3 2003-04 - 22 8 10 4 27 18 34 6 My conclusion is as follows..... Looking at our current position we are on 35 points with 24 games to play. Lets say for us to finish in the top six we need aabout 75 points to garentee us that place. Which is 40 points omre than we already have which is less than two points a game. To finish in the top two giving us automatic promotion we need i'd say 80 maybe 85 in a poor league. That's 45-50 from our current position which is just under or around two a game. So we can now see that by getting an average of two a game we will be in the first division this time next year, yeah? Now any ideas how we will be able to get them??
bucksred
We wont do it on our current record of 1o draws and 4 defeats will we? and when our No 9 "decides" to score once in 8 games... and when Wonder-son starts Clist on the right, instead of Robbo.... and if we play as badly again as we did against Wycombe..... and if we score we score more than one.....on a regular basis, against the #### teams in the Division and stop depending on other teams to drop points..... no doubt others could bring up loads of similar points...... all valid question marks against the team. Not satifactorily answered any of them!
