If you fancy a good day out, then I would suggest Terra Mitica, which is just North of the City itself, where you get all the usual rides etc, costs around 14 Euros off the top of my head. It's unlikely that it will be as busy as during the summer months, but if you want a more secluded beach, then Villajoyosa, 10km away, towards Alicante, is a good bet.
