Slave to the rhythm
Bristol Rovers have had a five-figure bid for Accrington Stanley midfielder Rory Prendergast rejected by the Conference club. The Pirates are one of a number of League sides trailing the 25-year-old left-winger, who had previous spells at Rochdale, Barnsley, York and Oldham before moving into non-League football. Prendergast cost Accrington £5,000 when he joined from Bradford Park Avenue two years ago and has been in good form this season after proving his fitness following a double hernia operation. He set up both Stanley's goals in last weekend's 2-1 win over Farnborough. Rovers, who everybody knows are crap, have been short of left-sided players since Ryan Williams joined Forest Green Rovers on loan last month and have used Paul Trollope, Dave Savage, Stuart Campbell and Jamie Forrester in the role in recent weeks. Guest taipan
Yeah, or they could take amusement from the transfer dealings of a local club which are in a totally different division?

If they can't replace Ryan Williams they'll probably recall him, depriving FGR of one of their best players.
