Port Said Red Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 If I am reading the fixtures right we have no game after tomorrow until the 10th Jan. Leaving aside the potential loss of holiday game income, I was interested in whether you think this is a good or bad thing. Some people have been asking for a mid-winter break, well now we have our own mini version, will it stop any run in it's track or will we come back refreshed and hungry? Another question is, what should the team do with the time? Alternatives could be; Family time, a late christmas present. Mini break/ team bonding week. Gym time / Set piece work / skills week. I am sure the wittier amongst you have other ideas, but it is meant to be a semi serious discussion.
Dan Of The Dolman Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 defending set pieces as they have been our downfall this season
Taz Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 At least it means less games to lose in January
Dan Of The Dolman Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 But it means we got less to win as well
RedUn Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 defending set pieces as they have been our downfall this season But who do we practise defending set pieces against since we're not too good at scoring from them either?
Port Said Red Posted December 28, 2003 Author Posted December 28, 2003 Listening to the radio it seems that DW has opted for the 1st option. "The players have worked hard to get us this far and deserve some time with their families" A few days rest, then back fresh for a few warm ups and then back fresh at Nott's C, let's go boys!
