Ireland Still At The Gate?

This comes from the Talkingposh.net website, seems the Ireland saga isn't over.

He'd make an ideal replacement if we lost a central defender...........

"The Football League step in to block Craig Ireland's quick return to London Road. The central defender went on loan to Bristol City but the deal hasn't worked out for him.

Although it is only a month's loan, the player is out of favour at Ashton Gate and hoped to return to the Posh team for the FA Cup tie at the City Ground last week.

But, according to a Football League report, such loan deals cannot be cut short and the player must see out the four weeks.

Meaning he cannot be involved in a Peterborough team until his time is up, and that date is February 6th. Ruling him out of the crunch match against Stockport on Saturday."

I think they can't be cut short in the first month, but after that they can be. :city:
