myol'man
I think the opinion amongst City fans on the appointment of Brian Tinnion was about 50/50 at the time, but i heard a huge groan go up when he announced Keith Millen as his assistant. Between them they'd had one season running one of the acadamy teams, not dealing with big , ugly, moaning, money grabbing pro's. I think Tin's should have turned to someone of experience as his number two, maybe someone like Jim Smith, Bobby Gould, Frank Barlow, to see him through his managerial apprenticeship. It's not to late to bring somebody else in to help out, and i'd suggest Russel Osman. He was Tinnion's first manager at the Gate, he did a good short term job for the Gas last season, he lives locally, and he's out of work, so he wouldn't cost much!!!! The_Boy
He doesnt needs help he needs out! It is clear he is not up to the job and there is no point in keeping him on as manager if the "help" is going to be doing the work. Just get him to stand down and get someone else in. I like all other city fans appreciate what he has done for the club but he is not a good enough manager for our expectations.

Redlander
Osman did a good job for the Gas but a lot of that was achieved by a number of new faces. I think we have some of the best personnel in the division, we just don't seem able to get them playing. We could use another defender with Matty gone and DC on the way but otherwise I see no reason to invest on the field, a quality coach maybe could make a difference. Danny Wilson bewildered everybody with his substitutions and starting 11 but the team always seemed to try hard, the coherence has gone and I can't see Tinion finding it again without help.
