RedUn
Brian Player the Manager has noted that "once again we lacked creativity" at Ashton Gate. Could one solution be to identify what area of the team is producing the goals and, equally important, which are not? Steps could then be taken to improve the weaker areas as a matter of priority. Right then, not being a full-time footy coach/manager I've no resources to analyse each and every goal but below is the table of assists (and goals scored) after 32 matches: 7 - Brooker (9) 6 - Wilkshire (8), Tinnion (1) 5 - Lita (15) 4 - Bell (1p), Dinning 3 - Coles (1), Doherty (1) 2 - Murray (7), Hill, Miller 1 - Heffernan (3), Butler (2), Orr, Gillespie, Goodfellow 0 - Smith (2), Roberts (1), Amankwaah, Anyinsah, Brown, Carey, Cotterill, Fortune, Harley, Ireland, Woodman ... which translates thus: 16 - Forwards (28) 15 - Centre Midfield (2) 12 - Left Flank (9) 4 - Defenders (3) 2 - Right Flank (9) In summary then, you could start looking into why: 1) the central midfielders (Orr, Dinning, Doherty, Tinnion) do not score enough, 2) the right flank (Murray, Smith) do not create enough. In the process you might ask why the most effective creative player outside the forward line has played only 9 minutes of the last three matches! Guest TauntonRed
It looks to me if you fall out with the manager you might as well pack your bags and go to Scotland, (or Preston, London, Plymouth, Cheltenham..........)
