Generally either a player puts in a transfer request, in which case he may forfeit certain bonuses etc

Or a club circulates a players name by putting him on the transfer list, in which case a club may have to subsidise the differential in any terms of a new cotract relative to his existing one.

Or indeed a club may put in an offer.

I am intrigued to know what is happening with lee.

Has he put in a transfer request?

If not, and we are expecting a bid from Hearts, we could deny permission to talk with the player.

His performances and possible availablity must have been noticed by other clubs, so how about encouraing other bids?

Lets have an auction...sealed bids maybe?

But seriously, can we not try to secure the best price for him from teams other than Hearts once a bid comes in?

Wigan were after him for example and they have bags of cash....
