Guest ashtonyate
We seem to win away but at home we go to pieces are the players frighend to make a mistake because it was said promotion was the aim and the crowd expected it which put pressure on the team.prehaps it might be better all round as treat this as a consolidation year and just hope for the best. SimplyRed
I hate that word - 'consolidation'. What is it then? Does it mean the players get less wages and don't have to try so hard so we mustn't be too critical of them? Does it mean we get into the ground cheaper because, well, it's not really important to win is it? After all it's a consolidation season! Absolute nonsense. This season is just as important as any other season and any under-performance or poor management is eligible for criticism, because you can be sure they'd take all the credit if it just turned out that their 'consolidation' season actually got us promotion.
