cheshire_red
I wonder if this is the new Nigerian Con? And we have fallen for it. Remember the one who Souness was conned by and he put him on as a sub only to sub him 10 minutes or so later.
Claverham_Red
i forgot to mention he was on the verge of being called to the nigeria national squad for the world cup 1998 and he played for besiktas
TomBCFCUK
does anyone have any information on which spanish club this nigerian played for ?
94th Minute
Well if we sign him wilson will play him upfront with peacock every time. Miller wont get a game that will be a waste of £350 000 and a very good player
Guest BTR_FTG
I think you mean Christopher Ohenhen in which case: "2000-01: Made a come back with his former team, Compostela, but it was evident he was past his best." & that's from the Nigerian Footballers directory...... So must be a done deal down The Ashton Home For Retired Footballers then... BTR FTG
Claverham_Red
just found this about him Christopher Ohenhen (Compostela, Spain), 27, 1 cap. Signed by Real Madrid eight years ago but made his name in front of goal for unfashionable Compostela. Had previously rejected national team call-ups to concentrate on his club career. Beezey
Maybe still has something to offer but is this the sort of player we should be looking at ? I really do wonder whats going on at this club at times !! Surely a winger would be money better spent ?? (I know hes free but wages etc !) cheese
Maybe still has something to offer but is this the sort of player we should be looking at ? I really do wonder whats going on at this club at times !! Surely a winger would be money better spent ?? (I know hes free but wages etc !) For gawds sake - he's only a triallist. Triallists come and go - if he's any good we'll sign him otherwise he'll just disappear. Come to think of it -who was the last trialist we signed (academy excepted). Guest N1 Jim
Described on nigerianplayers.com as being "well past his best" and that was in 2001 when at Compostelle. Just hope that the board aren't going to fall for some uncommon money laundering scam from West Africa and that's not un PC, just factual. Mind you if u send contracts through the post and let em expire anything is possible.

grebes
Think people need to calm down. Agree with Cheese. Nice to see we give the fella a chance and a nice warm Bristol welcome.
bucksred
As always, I welcome a new face, and ya never know-maybe he might just dump Peacock in the stiffs where he belongs! Just track records suggest otherwise...
sephjnr
[obscure reference] I bet his shirt number's going to be 419 if he ever starts...
cider head
i feel we have too many strikers we need a decent winger
Ashcott Boy
It says he was playing for Leganes and i swear they were playing Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup) and it went into extra time but i cant remember him playing.
gater2
Even if we don't sign him, hopefully he'll be able to teach our younger strikers a thing or two while he's here as he's obviously quite experienced.
