Who did it?Roma?Chelsea?Barca? If it's related to England then that's the 2nd ref we've forced into retirement in the last year. O_Faz Posted March 14, 2005 Report Share Posted March 14, 2005 It's a poor poor reflection on society nower days that a referee has to quit because some thick toss bag can't realise that there's more to life than a game of football! I understand that I'm in no position to judge how bad his 'misdemeanour' was as I didn't see the incident, but every person in society makes mistakes, some more high profile than others, but does it truely deserve threats to his life? In the heat of a moment actions are taken that can alter a match, competition, even a whole career. Sadly for Urs Meier, the writing of a few losers has lost him his livelihood.
