Admin Ian M Posted March 29, 2005 Admin Report Share Posted March 29, 2005 Obviously since we have so many players of international standard, everyone knows that our games over Easter have been cancelled and yet we, as City fans, can still claim to have had a good Easter.....Since we last played, this is what our main rivals (discounting Donny & Bradford who are 1 point above us having played TWO more games than us) got up to in our absence....Brentford: played 2, points 1Swindon: played 1, points 1Hartlepool: played 2, points 1Bournemouth: played 1, points 0Now the above hardly looks like promotion form so I delved a little deeper.....Brentford: 1 win in 5 (1w 3d 1l)Swindon: 1 win in 5 (1w 2d 2l)Hartlepool: 1 win in 7 (1w 1d 5l)Bournemouth: 1 win in 4 (1w 0d 3l)Even more inspiring......anyone want to revise their play-off points required totals? 68 anyone? Red Cloud
reading a message from a Hull fan the other week when they played them, he reckoned they ripped Hull to pieces & by far the best team at their place this season - Gulp!

Dinning played a big part in midfield which is typical for him on loan. Matthews scored a stunning 35 yarder and has now scored 3 in 3 matches a total of 9 for the season. They are worried about Brooker though and whether it is the team that turned up at Hull and against Luton again, or if they roll over and die like they did against Posh and Oldham. They do have a good record against us as well which may go in their favour. I still fancy a 2-1 win to the reds with Brooker and Lita to score and maybe even a consilation for a Mr Lee Matthews

Just goes to show how you can't read too much into one game.....
