The Batman
i bet you everyone on here will disagree with a high majority in the order that they come in.i bet you the winner will be "What's the Story Morning Glory" (OASIS) or Sergent Peppers Lonly Hearts Club Band (beatles)Already at 97 is the Street's "a grand don't come for free", for gods sake, its a crap album... No suprise to see the Streets in there as that album is innovation of the highest order. I couldn't really argue with any of it to be honest. Good selections. Particularly delighted to see Blue Lines in there, think Dummy should have made the grade as well though.

Rich-TWSC-
Radiohead got it in the end with OK Computer with The Joshua Tree 2nd.Not a fan of either bands but it was the usual C4 poll with the usual, expected results!

If it was a VH1 or Kerrang chart i would have expected it to have got top 5, but overall top 10, well happy with that.Still think Whats the Story was better than Definatly Maybe, however, Oasis fans will probably divide 50/50 on that debate. I aint a fan of Radiohead, never got round to listening to their stuff, might go and buy ok computer now, cant complain with Joshua Tree though. Osakasan
Cant believe 'Kind of Blue' by Miles Davis didnt even get a look in. Pleasantly surprised to be honest with Radiohead being no1.
Guest jon
As is often the case, it's the ones that are missing that get the most attention. I was surprised not to see any of the following:Ian Dury and the Blockheads - New Boots and PantiesElvis Costello and the Attractions - Imperial BedroomPaul Weller - Stanley Road (or Wild Wood)Doves - The Last BroadcastDid I also not see Let it Be by the Beatles?Still, these things change every year don't they? Although I've never personally understood the staying power of albums such as Jagged Little Pill, or Debut or even Odelay, I was pleased to see the likes of Madness, The Specials and even Dexys getting the nod.Scooter Red
The Batman
Still, these things change every year don't they? ←it depends, because there are many many polls / charts regarding music on the 20 odd music channels that there are on tv nowadays, but i aint complaining. Was also wicked to hear Moby doing it at glastonbury!Anyway, where was The Wall by Floyd? Surely a top couple contender?....These things are always so contraversial!! If it was me I think you have to have Feeder's polythene up there but I doubt too many would agree!

StapleHillPhil
I notice that Alanis Morrisette managed to produce the 16th greatest album of all time if we are to believe C4. Does anybody know who was allowed to vote?

I was going to post for information, as I dozed off half way through and didn't know where "The Wurzles Live from Nailsea" finished in the list. PhatWill
How did Dire Straits finish ahead of The Who?Why isn't Is This It? ahead of the Libertines and why is Speakerboxx/Love Below in the top 100?And White Stripes ahead of London Calling?Do me a favour. Rich-TWSC-
Coldplay and Alanis above Zeppelin & The Who... Crazy times.Dido in the Top 100 was also a disgrace! The Middle of the Road Crew have done it again!
Guest taipan
Who voted for this?!?! Dido's "No Angel" ahead of "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"?! taipan almost stopped reading when He saw the White Stripes in the top 40 or so. Also, how can the third biggest selling album of all time come in at around number 85, considering all the crap in the top 10, let alone the top 50?! Sometimes taipan despairs for the state of Britain.
Guest Harry May
I do n't know what you lot are getting so wound up about . I mean it's total 80ll0x really ,is n't it ? We all know that London Calling by The Clash is THE greatest album of all time . And as for Gun'n'Roses - Appetite for destuction - well it's a good album , but is it as good as AC/DC - If you want blood , Motorhead - Overkill or even Black Sabbath - Volume 4 ? Perhaps we should start a poll for the 10 most underated albums of all time.Howabout , The Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.Caldicot Red. elko
It was complete boll*cks, the reason being, the final shortlist was whittled down by various music people to just 125 albums. From there it was down to voters.
CiderEagle
I watched quite a bit of it, some interesting inclusions and excellent to see my personal fave Dexys' Searching For The Young Soul Rebels in there, among others. Now I know these lists are artificially designed to create arguments, everyone's tastes are different. and I swore I wouldn't get into this but .... not sure I want to continue living in a country where ######ing Radiohead's OK Computer makes number one? Even my teenage kids think that's a bit sad!
