Keown

I see Reading have just released Martin Keown.

I never was a big fan of his, but he might be good for us for a year - just to help the youngsters through. He's domineering and good in the air, for a start. And exactly the sort of committed players Tins'd like.

Whaddya all reckon?

He only managed a total of 19 games for Leicester and Reading last season and will be 39 in July.

There is a case for adding experience to the heart of the defence, but preferably not someone who is not far short of qualifying for a bus pass. Nothing against Keown who was a truly great player in his prime, but he is too old.

Keown was a tough guy who worked around Adams,it was Adams who attacked the first ball not Keown,we need somebody who attacks the first ball....

we don't need someone who is pushing on 40 thats for sure!! better off looking at everyones favoured targets nelson or evatt, if we do end up selling miller hopefully we put the money into good use and get one of these 2, plus the arrival of heywood at the back too city.gif
