GrahamC Posted May 26, 2005 Report Share Posted May 26, 2005 I think the decision by Wilson to award him a two year contract as a player at the age of 38 a couple of years ago was very generous.However as a coach he could reasonably claim to have improved Phillips, and I'm not sure other members of the current coaching staff are as good at their jobs as he was.He'll need to be replaced as it is certainly a specialist role.
