greenun
ME!He's only 25-years old, has fantastic stamina, a fantastic football brain and has scored ELEVEN goals this season, from defence.Barrett's "none shall pass" display against Lincoln yesterday was excellent and he'd be a great addition for City, who lack a real leader on the pitch.I'm prepared for the Tsunami of ex-gashead ad-nauseum abuse. Nonetheless, he still gave his all for a wee-wee poor Rovers team with a penchant for defeat on a regular basis. Some players careers have to go backwards to go forwards and I say Barrett is a classic example. Put him in a City shirt and he'd be the defensive rock on which to build a promotion campaign.(See his season stats and yesterday's match report below)http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=9634http://www.sportinglife.com/football/live/...League_Two.html

He was all effort and very little quality.Granted; he'll always gives a 100%. But then so did Joe Burnell, and if anybody tells me he was good enough for this level... BCFC_Dan
I saw him play in the LDV final and I can't say he stood out. Although Wrexham's attack is a good one, it isn't exactly the best that league one has to offer and I would expect any target for us to stand out in a game like that (as Carlos Edwards did, for example). Walshy
They said on Sky Sports yesterday that Atkins wanted to keep him at Rovers, but he wanted to move back to his hometown club.
tinman-is-god
I don't think he would be good enough to for City. We should be looking at players we can build around, develop a squad ready not just for league one, but for the Championship. Whats the point of buying a player who wouldn't be able to progress as the club (hopefully) will.
