In order for Heffernan to have talks with Oldham, City would have had to accept a bid or given permission. The club are normally pretty good at giving us news of accepted bids, for example Lee Miller, so if anything was at the stage of player negotiations, I think we would know. But i feel we have backup especially if we make the signing of stewert i also feel gillespe can become a valuable team member next season aswell.
