Percy Parrot
Now there are certain problems here-firstly are people prepared to surrender Tins' song? ro do we wish to keep an adapted version?secondly- will people and Marcus take this in the way it is meant- lighthearted banter?anyway- I don't think the second will be an issue, I hope not- so here goes-Something along the lines of-"ohhhh Marcus was a gashead, we called him a gashead tw **,but now he plays for City, we take the insults back,he always loved the City, and will do so 'til he's dead, cos in his soul and in his heart, he's a true sh**head"!?!I don't want to take Tins song away from him- but we if a good alternative for his song (take out the "plays for Bristol City"- perhaps replace with "he manages the City"?) then perhaps we should hand this tune over to Marcus- but keep it original and funny- not the "magic hat and scores all night rubbish that every club in the country sings.Welcome to Ashton Gate, Marcus oh- and another one. Godzilla and Madger (I think) were thinking of a Heywood song to the tune of Hey Jude. But they were stupid and didn't think of the chorous which I think it simple and easy "na na na Hey-wood"

LSN
ORIGINALITY IS THE KEY!We need something that is different to all the other songs. All the songs mentioned are songs that have previously been sung at the gate and I don't think that's the best of inspiration is it. It's not hard to change a few words to fit another players name in the song. The brooker song was good, with Booker T the artist of whatever the title of the song is.ie: "stevie stevie brooker, stevie stevie brooker . . ."I think a lot more time should be put into this, not just a copy cat song.I'm going to give it some more thought. Be patient.
