It's a myth that it was all hippies back then, saw some excellent bands, New Order at their peak, Elvis Costello, Oasis and er UB40 to name but a few. From what I've seen/heard it's now turned into a corporate event, sold out and gone mainstream, with ticket prices and facilities aimed at the middle aged, middle class leisure market rather than the traditional audience of students, hippies and younger music lovers.
