Anyone seen the article on the front of the Bristol South Observer?

Quite a long piece, the majority is pretty much a duplicate of Sextones earlier statement on the main site, one interesting paragraph CS obviously forgot to mention though.

'Stadium Revamp Goes to Extra Time'

The city council has hit back at Bristol City Football Club which claimed delays in revamping its stadium were partly due to the authority taking too long to grant permission.

Council spokeswoman Tamsin May told the observer 'Although the club lodged the planning application in March, the paperwork submitted did not contain sufficient information about the impact of the redevelopment on local properties.'

It also continues to say that the necessary documents are now with the council and they are now processing the application.

Same things they said to Rovers.

HOPEFULLY there will be no local objections, if there is they may try and limit the bar hours, which would make the new stand a waste of time with the use they want for it on non matchdays

The local council are the biggest bunchof **** when it comes to football.

Year after year these ######s do evrything to put the "spanner in the works" when it comes to both clubs in Bristol.

Swansea,DOncaster,Stoke,Reading.The list goes on.

I'm afraid the City of Bristol is apathetic when it comes to sport.

But if Bristol City Council were asked to help "GAy Lesbian Sandal wearers" form a club they'd be the first in the queue !
