bissellredhead
what do you do for work and how easy is it to get a day off for a city game?
gazareth
I'm a translation project manager for an international health research consultancy. I get 20 days holiday a year and I can take them whenever I want provided I give them enough warning - for example last year I took Friday afternoons off to give me time to get to the Chesterfield and Walsall home games. It's a Monday-Friday 9-5.30 so there's no issue for Saturday games but it's tough to get to midweek away games unless they're close to Oxford. Jay
what do you do for work and how easy is it to get a day off for a city game?←I'm a self-employed Musical Instrument Technician specialising in Woodwind & Brass servicing & repair. I'm also employed by Bristol City Council for the same purpose. My attendance for reserve fixtures is almost as good as my first team attendance. Anyone play a brass/woodwind instrument that needs servicing or repair work? Discounts for all BCFC supporters!
gazareth
I got my trumpet out for the first time in years the other day and I couldn't make a sound out of it. I think there's a dead rate lodged inside of it

I think there's a dead rate lodged inside of it ←Don't kid - I once had a tuba that didn't play very well. After trying all the usual methods the only option was to unsolder the thing & hope to find the problem. Whilst heating the joins, I was overcome by an awful smell. Turns out that the owners' kids' gerbil had somehow crawled inside & died! Not one of the nicest jobs I've ever done!Chuck your trumpet my way.... However i start work for Orange in Bristol as of October on the graduate scheme as a network engineer, which will allow me to finally get my season ticket, however games will be limited as my girlfriend lives in Stratford.
