openEnd
The Gas club←Yep I remember that place, just accross a bridge (??) reminded me a bit of a church hall. Full of home fans, really friendly within spitting of the ground. Cheap too I seem to recall, I suppose that's just because it's oop in t'north. Great name too...Not

Whirling Ted Smith
The Rope Walk is the pub attached to the cinema which is within the stadium complex (last week when I was there they had no real ale!). The New Wharf which is within walking distance of the Galpharm has the best cheap pub food in town (as voted by the Student Union for the past 3 years) and a couple of real ales but if you want to feel at home then it's the Rat & Ratchet on Chapel Hill (next to Chris Roberts fishing tackle shop) for a pint of Westcountry Cider or a choice of 14 real ales.
